Images and specs of the Sony C6603, codenamed Yuga, have leaked online giving us our first glimpse of the company’s upcoming flagship device well ahead of its official launch.
The handset, which shares more than a passing resemblance to the company’s Xperia T device, will feature a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 12-megapixel camera, and a 5-inch 1080p display, according to the leak.
It will also be the first Sony Xperia phone to come with a glass back, similar to the iPhone 4/4S, reports The Xperia Blog.
Currently running Android 4.1.1, the handset is expected to launch on Android 4.2 when it eventually hits the market in Q1 2013, following its grand unveiling at CES 2013.
Sony is expected to release the handset sometime in February, according to our sources.
Nothing is yet official about this handset, including its release date, specs, and imaging capabilities. Expect to hear lots more about it at CES 2013 and MWC 2013 in the first couple of months of next year.
