It’s not much fun to plan a big journey, having spend days or hours carefully working out the exact route to take and which roads to avoid, only to find there’s been a pile up on your chosen motorway.

Of course, you can always try and plan your route around such incidents but it takes time – time you don’t necessarily have unless you have tool like Traffic i UK at your disposal.

This iPhone app delivers up to the minute UK traffic information, including incident detail and location, to users wherever they are.

Searching for route specific information by location is very easy and Google Maps is used very well within the app to help home in on where the problem areas may be.

This app is very similar to the Traffic UK tool we reviewed in the navigation section of this guide and for that reason it scores equally as well.
