We review Wrestling-Online.com, an app that'll let you keep up with all that latest from the muscle-bound sports actors
Wrestling-Online.com may only be for wrestling fans, but if you're one this is a great app

Depending on your age, the term “Professional Wrestling” will conjure up different images.
If you’re in your 30s then you’ll most likely recall Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and the sight of grannies at ringside, unleashing their handbag-related fury at large, hairy men.
If you’re in your 20s then it’s probable that you’ll think of Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior fighting it out in garish early-90s Day-Glo costumes.
Should you be lucky enough to still be in your teens then an entirely different set of images will spring to mind - finely-honed sportsmen with multi-million dollar promotional endorsements and impossibly-proportioned female assistants.
Wrestling has certainly changed over the past few years but it’s always remained incredibly popular, despite it being common knowledge that the whole thing is no more real than an episode of EastEnders.
Still, regardless of its fake nature, this “soap opera for men” is big business and, unsurprisingly, thousands of websites have sprung up over the years to report on the complex happenings that occur in the world of “Sports Entertainment”.
Wrestling-Online.com is one of the more notable sites and this official iPhone App attempts to shoehorn all the web portal’s news content into a more manageable mobile package.
The interface is surprisingly slick and streamlined. News is divided up into the three key organisations: WWE (formerly known as the WWF), TNA and MMA (mixed martial arts). There’s also a “General” section that reports on other minor wrestling championships.
This segregation is welcome because if you’re a serious fan of WWE then you may not wish to hear about what’s happening in the world of MMA. However, for those of you that wish to follow all of the different disciplines, you’ll be glad to know there’s a catch-all “Main” section too, which features all news stories.
As far as the content is concerned the articles are well-written and informative, and they also feature high-quality images. Everything loads quickly so you’re never left waiting for prolonged periods.
If you’re a fan of wrestling then you simply have to have this app on your iPhone – it’s that simple. Naturally if you find the concept of sweaty men in tight pants hugging each other for hours at a time before pretending to perform life-threatening moves then it’s going to be less appealing, but there’s no accounting for taste, as the saying goes.
