Eurosport review
We review Eurosport, an app that gives you all of Eurosport's top coverage on your iPhone
Published on Oct 12, 2009
The Europsport app reproduces the content from Eurosport’s website and TV programme on the iPhone in a specially optimised format.
The homepage is split into four different sections - headlines, in brief, live and results.
Headlines gives a more in-depth summary of the latest news, while In Brief is presented in an easier to read format, without any pictures.
The live section provides up-to-the-minute results for all major sports, while the results are equally as fast to come in, relying on a data connection to update.
Along the bottom of the screen, you can view the same sections, but for each sport. There are separate tabs for football, tennis, cricket, Formula 1, WTCC, IRC, Moto GP, rugby, snooker, cycling and athletics, allowing you to filter down the headlines, In Brief news stories and results for your favourite sports.
Once you’re reading a story, you can skip onto the next one without having to go back to the homescreen. Simply use the up and down arrows in the top right hand corner.
The share settings are a little sparse on Eurosport. You can share on Facebook or send the story by email, but with few personalisation options, such as the ability to select your favourite sports, Eurosport is a little bland.
