RIM launches BlackBerry Protect in Beta

RIM has launched BlackBerry Protect, a new service that allows BlackBerry users to wirelessly backup, restore and locate their BlackBerry device if it’s lost or stolen.
But that’s not all, BlackBerry Protect also enables users to activate both a device wipe and lock, as well as a ‘Lost and Found’ screen, the device’s location on a map and an especially “loud” ringer, so you can hear it if misplaced.
At present, BlackBerry Protect is only available from BlackBerry Beta Zone but a full version should be on the way soon.
We should be giving the service a review in the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes pealed for that.
