BlackBerry App World 2.0 has been unveiled - but there's no confirmed opening date for the UK yet

RIM has given its BlackBerry App World a facelift and re-branded it as BlackBerry App World 2.0.
Obviously, there has been some aesthetic updates to the 2.0 version, but one of the most notable is the ability to do carrier billing – so no more PayPal-only payments.
RIM has also introduced credit card payment as well, so users now have a choice of three payment options – PayPal, credit card and carrier billing.
Other notable additions to the new fangled BlackBerry Apps World 2.0 include:
- Information on past purchases
- Specific sections for downloads and pending downloads
- Top themes category
- Newest Apps category
- BlackBerry ID – which allows users switch devices and carriers without losing App World applications or specific preferences.
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been an official release date set for BlackBerry Apps World 2.0 in the UK – hopefully, it’ll be very soon though!
