SlingPlayer, the application that lets users stream media from a Slingbox to their mobile via 3G and Wi-Fi, is being released in the summer on the Android platform.
SlingPlayer has been available on the iPhone platform for some time now, but news today confirmed that the popular media-streaming service is making its way onto Android.
According to Slashgear, Sling Media is still working on the UI – although it is thought to be similar in form and function to the one already available on the iPhone.
Videos have already surfaced with both the Nexus One and the Motorola Droid running the application.
Price wise, nothing has been confirmed yet. But if the iPhone version is anything to go by, Android users can expert to be paying in excess of £20 for the SlingPlayer.
