Facebook Windows Phone app update released
It's been a long wait, but the Windows Phone Facebook app has finally received an update
Published on Feb 14, 2012
Good news, social networkers: The Facebook app, which has been around since the launch of Windows Phone, has been given a significant update.
Speaking via Facebook, funnily enough, the developer announced its imminent release as well as details of what version 2.3 will bring.
'Focus areas' for version 2.3 include:
- News feed performance improvements
- New panorama design
- New profile design
- Banner Images
- Improved navigation
- Pages
- Groups
- View 'likes'
- Feed filters
- Posting privacy
- Bug fixing
Sadly, it looks like Live Tile functionality hasn't been added, but there's easily enough other bits and bobs for us to forgive.
If you're wondering why you can't download it, it's because these things take a bit of time to be added to the Windows Marketplace. As the update went live today, you should be able to update it tomorrow or maybe this evening if you are lucky.
