Mobile Choice HTC Touch Diamond Review "Overall we can't help but feel let down by the HTC Touch Diamond. It looks wonderful and the touch-screen interface simply sparkles, but sadly the usability just isn't there, with the touch-screen proving more a hindrance than a blessing. In addition after using the phone for half an hour or so, the back of the handset started to get very hot." Go the Mobile Choice website |

CNET.co.uk “We had high hopes that HTC might have cracked a Windows Mobile touchscreen phone that could compete with the iPhone user experience. It hasn't. We're genuinely disappointed that while the Touch Diamond might look great and have more features than a James Bond gadget, it doesn't come together smoothly. On paper, it sounds fantastic, but using it was ultimately frustrating.” Read the CNet.co.uk HTC Touch Diamond review |

Trusted Reviews “The Touch Diamond packs in a lot of features and is a good effort by HTC to rival the iPhone's touchscreen usability while retaining the power and extensibility of Windows Mobile. But despite the hype, the Diamond is distinctly half-baked. Granted, the Touchflo 3D works better than ever to turn Windows Mobile into a genuine phone interface. It hides the ugly-duckling Windows interface away successfully, and browsing the web on HTC's version of Opera Mobile is fantastic. But as a complete package, the Touch Diamond just doesn't convince.” Read the Trusted Reviews HTC Touch Diamond review |

Pocket Lint “Against the iPhone the tech specs are better but that stylus inclusion is admittance that the icons on the screen are just a little bit fiddly from time to time. Overall though, HTC has somehow managed to take the Microsoft OS and make it everything but - a good thing in our mind. It's a thumbs up from us.” Read the Pocket Lint HTC Touch Diamond review |

What Mobile “It's got a touch screen and a slick user interface so it must be an iPhone killer. Well, considering you need to use a stylus for all the non-HTC stuff (and being a Windows device, that's pretty much everything), it isn't going to have Apple too worried. But, that doesn't stop it being a damn good phone anyway - especially if you use Windows Mobile as your operating system of choice.” What Mobile October 2008 |
