Possible Samsung Galaxy S4 pictured for release on April 22
A picture of what could be the Galaxy S4 has leaked online while new reports strengthen the idea of a March launch and April release
A picture of what may be the Samsung Galaxy S4 has leaked via Picasa.
The image, which has reportedly been sitting on Picasa for about a month without anyone noticing, looks quite a lot like an official Samsung product photo.
Such official pictures always have quite a 'touched-up' look about them anyway, which means it's an easy avenue for hoaxers and there is the chance this could be a fake.
Likewise, a recent roadmap suggests a range of new Samsung Galaxy products scheduled for MWC 2013 in February and it could just as easily one of the phones mentioned.
But, it does appear to be larger than the Galaxy S3 flagship and with a thinner bezel. It's also got the signature solid home button missing from previously leaked images of questionable origin.
As BGR points out, one particularly interesting point is the date displayed on the screen, which is quite often the launch or release date for a device. In the new picture this is April 22.
Now, earlier reports have indicated Samsung will announce the Galaxy S4 in March and launch it in April, but a new report has just emerged from Asia Economic News which corroborates with the earlier March launch bracket and, even more tantalisingly, suggests March 22 specifically for a Samsung Galaxy S4 launch event in the US.
It's not a huge leap to suggest the phone will hit the market a month after its announcement, so these two snippets of info emerging at the same time seem to match up.
Rumours say the Galaxy S4 will have a 5-inch 440ppi display, an eight-core Exynos processor, 2GB of RAM, 4G connectivity, a 13-megapixel camera and wireless charging.
