Samsung's Galaxy S4 Active has leaked in a new shade dubbed Arctic Blue

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has leaked ahead of release, this time as a blue-coloured variant.

For those who were not in love with the first-sighting of the Galaxy S4 Active in its bright orange iteration, another color option has leaked just a week after the initial announcement.

Blue Arctic (though other websites are calling it Dive Blue) Galaxy S4 Active phones will be available alongside Urban Grey and Orange Flare versions.

The handset will combine the blue chassis with black bumpers at the top and bottom of the back panel.

The Galaxy S4 Active is Samsung's 'rugged' phone and is expected be protected against dust and water and can be submerged in up to one metre of water.

The new handset differs from the flagship Galaxy S4 in more than just its resistance to the elements, however.

The 5-inch display is a 1080p LCD screen and you can text while it is submerged underwater or even take pictures on the 8-megapixel camera. The flagship Galaxy S4 has a 13-megapixel camera and a Super AMOLED screen, but you can't chuck it in a puddle and expect it to live.

Besides these differences, the phones’ similarities include microSD support for cards up to 64 GB and cameras with autofocus and LED flash functionality. They both run Android Jelly Bean 4.2 as well.

The Galaxy S4 Active comes in bright colors, while the flagship is only available in black and white.

Although the Galaxy S4 Active is not expected to be released until Quarter 3 of this year, we hope to give you have comprehensive review as soon as possible.

Samsung is expected to showcase the handset at an event in London tomorrow (June 20) and we're going to try to get hands-on time with it.
