Android Jelly Bean update now live for Three-branded Galaxy S3 devices
Got a Samsung Galaxy S3 device from Three? Good news — the Android Jelly Bean (4.1.2) update is now available
Three has confirmed via Twitter that Android Jelly Bean (4.1.2) is now available for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Your phone should automatically let you know if there's a new update. But if you've switched this feature off then you can search for updates manually. Here's how:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down until you see ‘About phone’
- Inside ‘About phone,’ select ‘Software updates’
- Your Galaxy S3 will now search for updates
- Once it’s found the update, you’ll be presented with some terms of conditions. Agree to the T&Cs and proceed
- Your Galaxy S3 will update, reboot, and install Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2
The update can be downloaded via Kies. To do this simply connect your Galaxy S3 to your PC via a microUSB lead, open Kies, and download and install the update.
