Could the Samsung GT-N5100 be the Galaxy Note 7.0?
A new Samsung device with the model number GT-N5100 has appeared in benchmarking results, leading to speculation that it is the Galaxy Note 7.0
A Samsung device carrying the model number GT–N5100 has appeared in testing documents for the second time in a month.
Reports suggest the device could well be the Galaxy Note 7.0.
‘While we didn’t have much info on the hardware itself, that model number, and specifically the letter 'N' there, suggested that this would be a Note. After all, existing Note hardware has been in the N7000 or N8000 series,’ reports Pocket Now.
According to the report the Note 7.0, if that’s what this device actually is, will feature an HD display, potentially 1280x720, a 1.6GHz CPU and a Mali-400 MP GPU – the very same setup as the Galaxy Note II.
It’s not 100 per cent certain that the device will feature a 7-inch display yet. But the inclusion of a lower model number than the Note 10.1 and similar spec to the Note 2 indicates that this device could be a halfway house between the two.
A direct rebuttal to Google's Nexus 7, if you will.
Not much else is known about this device but if it's in testing now that could mean we'll see it launched at either CES 2013 or Mobile World Congress 2013.
