We walk you through the steps of performing a factory reset on the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini if something goes wrong

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is a great device, offering plenty of bang for your buck. There may, however, be times when your trust little smartphone goes wrong, and in unusual situations like that (or if you're planning on selling or recycling your device) you may want to roll it back to box-fresh, factory settings.

So, if you're having a few problems, or you want to blitz your personal data before you move your device on, here's how you perform a full factory reset:

  1. Back up your contacts, photos and other data using your laptop or PC
  2. Head to the ‘Applications' screen
  3. Tap ‘Settings'
  4. Choose ‘Backup and Reset'
  5. Hit ‘Factory Data Reset'
  6. Select ‘Reset Device'
  7. Tap ‘Erase Everything'
  8. This will now totally reset your device and next time you switch it on, it will be box-fresh
