EE announces new 4G tariffs
EE has introduced a range of new 4G LTE data tariffs to over greater customer choice
EE has announced a range of new 4G LTE data plans to add to its portfolio as the UK's only 4G-enabled network.
The company's previous set of packages will remain unchanged but the new additions include plans which are slightly cheaper and others which offer higher data allowances to try to tempt more people to switch to the superfast data network.
The first of these is a 24 month contract at £31 per month with unlimited UK calls and SMS texts plus 500MB of fast 4G mobile data. This will launch on January 31 and you can get a Lumia 820 as part of the deal for £29.99.
An equivalent 12 month version of the package will cost £41 per month.
The second option offers the same unlimited calls and texts plus a hefty 20GB of mobile data from £46 per month for a 12 month SIM-only contract, but this is a 'special rate' available to those who sign up between now and the end of February.
After February the same contract will cost £61 per month. The same deal can be had with a handset bundled in for £61 per month on a 24 month contract before the end of February and £76 per month from March onwards.
Lastly, a new 8GB data plan at £41 per month is also being introduced, but it's still a little on the expensive side.
EE issued a statement to go with its announcement, saying: 'It’s our aim to offer consumers the most comprehensive range of 4GEE price plans. With these new options we’re looking to not only make 4G smartphones even more accessible, but offer even greater value for the small number of super-users out there - ensuring EE really does offer a package that’s tailored for all customers 4G needs.'
