A leaked BlackBerry 10 manual promises 70,000 apps at launch and reveals handset specs

An official BlackBerry sales manual has leaked online giving further details of specs and promising 70,000 apps in BlackBerry World at launch.

The manual, which comes via CrackBerry, is reportedly a training slideshow for sales personnel at Canadian firm Rogers.

The document alleges BB 10 will have a 'best in class' HTML 5 browser while the handsets will sport Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processors, 1.800mAh battery packs and 4.2-inch display panels at 356 pixels-per-inch (ppi).

RIM is scheduled to launch BlackBerry 10 and its two flagship handsets at an event on January 30. It's expected the two lead devices will be the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry X10 with the former a touch-only device and the latter toting a traditional Qwerty keyboard.

Highly believable rumours say RIM will launch six phones in total at the low, medium and high price brackets with both a touch-only and Qwerty model at each price point.

A recent video leak showcases the BlackBerry Z10 and its new software which looks very slick and responsive.

Company reps have previously stated that with BB 10 the idea is to take away the 'in and out of apps' interface design common to smartphones and replace it with an intuitive multitasking interface. It looks like RIM may deliver just that.
