Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie has popped up in Sony benchmarks again - this time it's running on the Sony LT30i

Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie has popped up in more benchmarks, running on the Sony L30i.

The NenaMark2 results show the LT30i at the top of its graphics performance application with a score of 74.60.

Details of the device show it's running a Qualcomm Adreno 220 chip with a screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels. It features a 1.6GHz processor too.

According to the results, the LT30i is also running Android 5.0.0 - one of the first devices to show as running the operating system.

The submitter is listed as anonymous - not surprising considering they're probably a Google employee testing Android 5.0 or someone working at Sony using the device.

As Pocket-Lint rightly states, the Sony LT30p (codenamed Mint) turned out to be the Sony Xperia T, so this device could be an update to that handset.

What does seem pretty strange, is that Sony has never been the launch partner for a new Google operating system, so it's doubtful this device will be the first device to launch with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

Pocketnow speculates that Sony is working with Google on the next Nexus phone, or it's simply a test device for Android 5.0. The third option, is of course, the benchmark could be fake.

Speculate away, people!
