MusicMagpie app launches on Android

'Cash for CD, DVD and Games' website has now released an Android app

The musicMagpie website, which allows you to sell unwanted CDs, DVDs and games, is now available on the Google Play app store.

Joining the iPhone version already available, musicMagpie on Android allows you to use your smartphone's camera to scan barcodes, with the app's 'valuation engine' providing you how much you could get for your unwanted items.

The app also gives you the progress of your order, including when payment for the items you sent has been sent so you know just when you will get your cash.

Eren Ozagir, chief marketing officer of, said in the press release: 'We have already turned web cams into barcode scanners and launched an incredibly popular iPhone app, so creating an app for Android users this year was the natural next step and this is another really easy way to clear some space around the home and make a little extra money.

'Our apps are free to download and as always with, we pay the postage and the service is easy and totally free for consumers to use,' Ozagir added.

MusicMagpie, which has been downloaded 700,000 times since its launch on iPhone in February 2011, is available now to download on both Android and iPhone.
