New iPad Wi-Fi issue emerges
iPad users are reporting yet more problems with their new tablets as Wi-Fi issues have surfaced
Apple is reportedly investigating a Wi-Fi problem with its new iPad tablet.
An AppleCare support document has revealed the company is looking into multiple Wi-Fi related problems with the latest iPad reported by customers.
Apparently users have encountered intermittent and dropping connections to Wi-Fi networks, slow download and upload speeds and difficulties in locating nearby networks.
There's also a thread covering the issue on Apple's support forums with nearly 700 replies from affected users.
By the sounds of things, this isn't a software issue with iOS 5.1 either, Apple's AppleCare memo explains to its employees to looks for hardware issues causing the problems.
There are also currently no reports of the problems occurring on first or second generation iPads or other devices running the new operating system build.
Additionally, according to 9to5Mac's sources, third-generation iPads which have these issues are to be ‘Captured', which is allegedly Apple speak for having it sent back to Apple's labs for some kind of autopsy, along with included accessories, while the customer gets a shiny new one.
