Setting up Bluetooth on the N73

Sandra Vogel

The N73 includes the capability to print photos using Bluetooth

With Bluetooth set up on your Nokia N73 you can exchange information wirelessly - and for free - with other Bluetooth devices

Bluetooth is a wireless communications system you can use to exchange information with other devices that also have Bluetooth. Examples include your PC or Mac and other phones. The Nokia N73 also includes the capability to print photos using Bluetooth.

Bluetooth devices identify themselves to each other using names embedded in them. Your Nokia N73 will have the same name as every other N73, so the first thing to do is change this so that it identifies your phone as distinct from everyone else’s.

Turn Bluetooth on
Press the Nokia Menu key to the left of the 1 and 2 keys and choose Tools then Bluetooth. Scroll down to where it says ‘Bluetooth’ and click the Scroll key to turn Bluetooth on. Click again to turn Bluetooth off.

Now scroll to where it says ‘My phone’s visibility’. If it says ‘Hidden’ click the Scroll key so that it says ‘Shown to all’. Now you will be able to connect to other devices.

Set up a unique name for your phone
Now scroll down to where it says ‘My phone’s name’ and click the Scroll key. Enter a new name for your phone to replace the preset ‘Nokia N73’, then choose OK. The new name should be displayed on screen.
