How to use a photo as wallpaper on the N73
Sandra Vogel
Rotate images in the Gallery before choosing them as Wallpaper
Set up a favourite photo as the background image - or 'wallpaper' - you see when you use your Nokia N73
Perhaps it is a photo of a family member or pet, perhaps a picture of a place that means a lot to you, or just something that makes you feel happy, or calm when you see it. But if you have a photo on your Nokia N73 why not set it as your wallpaper, to greet you whenever you switch the phone on?
First go to the Gallery by pressing the side key on the right edge of the phone. Now choose a photo to look at (refer to the section on the Gallery for detailed instructions)
While viewing your selected photo choose Options with the left Selection key, then use the Scroll key to highlight ‘Use image’ and click. Click on ‘Set as wallpaper’. Wait while the phone says ‘Loading image’ then use the right Selection key several times to go back to the main screen and see what your chosen image looks like as wallpaper.
You might find it helpful to rotate images in the Gallery before choosing them as Wallpaper. To do this while you are viewing the image choose Options with the left selection key then choose ‘Rotate’, then choose either ‘Left’ or ‘Right’.

Re: How to use a photo as wallpaper on the N73Thanks, this was really helpful :)
Though, using photos takes up a square section of the frontscreen, underneath the top 'line' and if the photo or image is fairly busy it does obstruct the text-display area where calender items and such go. This means highlighting the area in order to read it...a little bit of a pain.
I suggest the use of gif files which have transparency around them, such as the image of a fave superhero, etc. |
