Customising the Nokia N73's Multimedia key

How to set up shortcuts and control the sound effects of the Nokia N73's Multimedia key - which is located to the right of the 3 and 6 keys

The Multimedia key is a special key that offers quick access to multimedia features of your Nokia N73. To see what it offers press the key – it is on the edge of the numberpad to the right of the 3 and 6 keys.

You access the options on offer with the main navigation key moving it left, right and up and pressing to select what is on offer.

To customise the applications the multimedia key controls follow these instructions:

  1. Click on the Multimedia key to the right of the 3 and 6 keys
  2. Press down on the main navigation key – the icon it links to is marked Configure
  3. A list of five options will appear - Top, Left, Middle, Right and Sounds. Click on the first four to choose what application or function you want to assign to each slot
  4. The Sounds key toggles the sound effects that accompany use the Multimedia key on and off
  5. When you have finished choose Exit with the right Selection key
