How to select which six applications appear as shortcuts in the Active Standby screen - the first screen that appears when you turn on the Nokia N73
The Active Standby screen is the screen that displays when you turn your Nokia N73 on. It offers you shortcut icons to six applications as well as Calendar and To Do list entries.
To get quick access to the Active Standby screen click on the Nokia Menu button to the left of the 1 and 4 keys. One click will take you to the main menu screen, clicking it again brings up the Active Standby screen.
To view Calendar or To Do list entries or run one of the applications from its shortcut icon use the Scroll key to highlight what you want and then press.
To customise the six application shortcuts follow these instructions:
- Press the Nokia Menu key to the left of the 1 and 4 keys and choose Tools
- In the Tools screen click on Settings
- In the Settings screen select Phone
- In the Phone settings menu click on Standby mode
- Finally choose Active standby apps.
- You can customise each of the six shortcuts. Highlight the one you want to change with the Scroll key, then press it. Now scroll through the list of available options and press when the one you want to shortcut to is selected
- When you are finished choose Back with the right Selection key and keep pressing Back until you return to the Active Standby screen
