Make the most of photos taken with the Nokia N70 camera by editing them

If you have some photos you have taken with the camera there are tools within your Nokia N70 for editing them. You can cut them down to size or apply filters, for example. You’ll find these tools in the Gallery, which is also the area of the phone you use for viewing photos, videos and other multimedia.

First, open the Gallery. To do this press the Nokia Menu key to the left of the 1 and 2 keys and then use the navigation key to highlight Gallery and press its centre to select this.

Next open the image you want to edit. To do this choose Images & Video with the navigation button. All the images and video stored on the phone will be shows in a rotating menu. Use the left and right of the navigation button to cycle through these, or press the centre of the navigation button to show an image full screen and then use left and right of the navigation button. When the image you want to edit is showing choose Options with the left select key then scroll down to Edit and choose this.

Now choose Options with the left select key and choose Apply effect. A small window opens up with a range of different editing features. Use the navigation button to move around within these and press its centre to choose the one you want.

Examples of what you can do here include:

  • applying redeye reduction to remove the redness in the eyes of people where their photos have been taken using the flash
  • resizing images so that they are smaller. This might be useful if you want to email them over the air, for example
  • writing text onto images
  • adding clip art to images
  • adding frames to images
  • cropping an image. This means cutting away a portion of the image to keep and discarding the rest
