Give each contact a custom ringtone on the Nokia 6288
The Nokia 6288's Groups feature lets you assign a ringtone and an image to a group of users
Sort the important calls from the ignorable ones without looking at your phone using the Nokia 6288's Groups feature
Why struggle to find your ringing phone to see who’s calling when you can set a different ringtone for each contact in your list?
The Nokia 6288’s Groups feature lets you assign a ringtone and an image to a ‘group’ of users. When a member of a group calls you, the ringtone will play and the image will appear on the screen.
Groups can contain any number of contacts, and even just a single member, so you could, for instance, have one ringtone for family members, one for work colleagues and one for your partner.
To create a group, assign a ringtone and image and then select a group’s members, follow these instructions:
- From the main menu, highlight Contacts and click Select.
- Highlight Groups and click Select.
- Click Add (or if you have already added groups, click Options, highlight Add new group and click Select).
- Enter a name for the group and click OK.
- Highlight the group’s name in the list and click Options.
- Highlight Group details and click Select.
- Highlight Group ringing tone and click Select
- Highlight Open Gallery, click Select, locate the ringtone in your gallery and click Select to apply.
- Highlight Group image and click Select.
- Click Add, highlight From Gallery, click Select, locate the image in your gallery and click Select.
- Now highlight Group members and click Select. Click Add and your contacts list will open. Highlight the contacts you want to add to the group and click Select. You can add as many contacts as you like to each group.
If you want to add contacts to an existing group, highlight the group’s name on the Groups screen, click View and click Add to display your contacts list. Highlight a contact and click Select to add them.
