Speed dialling on the Nokia 6233
Want friends and family at the touch of a button? It's easy with the Nokia 6233's speed dial
If you struggle to find your nearest and dearest among the long list of contacts filling your SIM card, why not use the Nokia 6233’s Speed dial? You can nominate up to 8 contacts for one-click calling, so rather than digging out a number, you could simply press 2 to call home, 3 for Mum, 4 for the local takeaway and so on.
The exact number of available slots depends on the network that supplied your phone, keys 1 and 2 are sometimes reserved for one-click access to services like voicemail.
To set up Speed dial:
- From the main menu highlight Contacts and click Select.
- Highlight Speed dials and click Select.
- You’ll see a list of available Speed dial slots. To assign a contact to a key, highlight the slot and click Assign.
- Click Search to display your contacts list. Highlight the contact to add to your Speed dial and click Select.
- Next time you call your contact, simply hold down the assigned keypad number for one second, until the Found: message appears. The call will begin automatically.
To delete or change an assigned Speed dial, from the Speed dials number list, highlight the contact to edit, click Options and click Change to change the contact details or Delete to remove a contact from the speed dial list.
