Nokia 6110 Navigator camera samples

A selection of sample digital photos to show the performance of the Nokia 6110 Navigator's 2.0-megapixel camera

The Nokia 6110 Navigator has a main camera on the back panel with a maximum resolution of 2.0-megapixels (1600x1200 pixels), and a video recording capability at a maximum resolution of 320x240 pixels.

It also has a secondary front facing low resolution CIF camera (above the screen) for face-to-face video calling, with a resolution of 320x240 pixels or 176x144 pixels for video.

The main 2.0-megapixel camera can be activated by a dedicated camera button on the side of the phone, or by sliding back a sturdy lens cover on the back of the phone. This allows you to compose images in landscape, using the full screen as the viewfinder.

The camera comes with an LED flash for low-light conditions, although it does lack autofocus and macro facilities which limits some of its close-up shooting capabilities. None the less, most images are clear and very acceptable with good colour reproduction and balanced exposure.

At the maximum resolution, the Nokia 6110 Navigator can produce images large enough to make decent quality standard-sized 6x4in photo prints. Images can be stored on the phone or on a MicroSD card; the 512MB MicroSD supplied with the 6110, which has Sat Nav software preloaded, has plenty of additional room for storing images (which you can back up to a PC).

If you want to shoot smaller images just to show on the phone or to send simply as a photo message, the Nokia 6110 offers four resolution settings, down to 320x240 pixels. The 6110 has a panorama shooting mode, allowing you to stitch together images into one shot, and a multi-shot mode. A night mode, white balance and colour adjustments are available, as well as a self-timer.
