How to soft-reset your Nokia N8

If you make a few errors on your device or download some unsavoury the best thing to do is a soft reset. This wipes your device and, nine times out of ten, fixes all the previous errors on the handset.

Here's how:

Follow these simple steps to perform a soft reset on the Nokia N8:

1. Go into the Nokia N8’s main menu
2. Tap Settings
3. Then go into Phone
4. Scroll down to Phone mgmt
5. Select Factory Settings
6. Now you’ll be presented with two options: "restore" and "delete data and restore"
7. Select Restore

The phone will now restored to its original factory setup, but none of your data or apps will be erased.
