Nokia is expected to be getting a 10-inch Windows RT tablet ready for an MWC reveal according to the latest word on the Taiwanese rumour mill

A Nokia tablet running Windows RT is expected to land at MWC according to supply chain vendors in Taiwan. The Nokia tab has been suggested to have a 10-inch screen and be powered by either an Nvidia or Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, most likely the latter given Nokia's current dealings with Qualcomm.

According to Digitimes, Nokia was rumoured to be working on a Windows RT tablet earlier in 2012 for an early 2013 reveal, but this never happened likely due to a couple of factors. First of all, Nokia wanted to focus on its smartphone efforts and secondly, the Microsoft Surface RT happened.

It's likely given how closely Nokia and Microsoft have been working since they joined forces, it wouldn't have made sense to have two competing propositions from both companies, though this is speculation.

If indeed true and Nokia is resurrecting the tablet, this would pit it against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, the Google Nexus 10 and Apple iPad, not to mention other Windows RT tablets like the Surface RT. After the OS has been getting a frosty reception amongst critics, will Nokia's Windows RT tablet be able to buck the trend and offer something unanimously acclaimed? All will be revealed in February.
