Nokia has leaked details of Windows Phone 7.8 in a customer survey on its website

Nokia has leaked some of the details of the Windows Phone 7.8 update details on its website.

Many of the features due to be added to devices currently running Windows Phone will include UI tweaks already present on Windows 8 devices, such as resizeable Live Tiles and a new homescreen experience.

Some of these features will be added to Nokia-only devices, others will be added by Microsoft to all handsets, according to the survey.

Unfortunately, the survey is now displaying an error message, insisting we have already completed the survey (we haven't).

However, WMPoweruser was able to go through the survey and it found hints at these additions:

From Microsoft

  • New homescreen experience with more room for your Live Tiles. Now resizable.
  • Set the Bing image of the day as the Lock Screen wallpaper.
  • Pocket and child Lock screen Security
  • 20 new accent theme colours

From Nokia

  • Bluetooth Share (for DRM free media files)
  • Cinemagraph add-on to create blend and photo and movie-like animation, creating photos that are alive
  • New camera lenses to remove unwanted objects in your photos such as passers-by or people on the edge of the shot the spoil the photo.
  • Updated Contacts Transfer application
  • Updates Contact Share application
  • Ringtone Maker application

The Windows Phone 7.8 update is due to land in early 2013, with new devices launching on the operating system including the Nokia Lumia 510.
