Recording video clips on the Motorola RAZR V3i

Take videos with ease on your Motorola RAZR V3i's 1.23 mega-pixel digital camera

With the camera on the Motorola V3i you can also record video clips as easily as taking a picture. You can then play these videos back on the handset or save them to the memory card for later viewing, or send them to friends via MMS.

Setting up the video camera

There are two ways you can turn on the video recorder. Either:

• Press Menu (The [–] button), then highlight Multimedia (Figure 1) and press Select.
• Select Video Camera (Figure 2) and press Select.

Or, if you are already using the screen as a viewfinder, press Menu (Figure 3) and scroll down to Go To Video Mode.

When you have turned on the video camera, pressing Menu (The [–] button) will open the Video Menu, which includes the following options:

• Go To Videos (Figure 4) – Watch saved clips, and do things such as Delete, Rename or Move clips.
• Go To Photo Mode – Switch to stills camera
• Switch Storage Device – Choose to store clips either on the phone or its memory card
• Videos Setup – Choose to turn on Auto Repeat, and change the Video Length (Either MMS or Maximum), Resolution (Either 128x96 or 176x144), and whether Sound Recording is on or off.

Recording a video

Once you have set up the video recorder, you can begin recording a video clip.

• Point the camera lens at the subject of your video.
• Press Capture to begin recording and press Stop when you want to finish.
• You can then either Discard the video, or Send it to someone else in an MMS or email message.
• Press the Menu button to store the video.

N.B. The video records in VGA format meaning that the quality is not as good as for pictures, and it is best not to move the camera very much to avoid picture blurring.

Re: Recording video clips on the Motorola RAZR V3i Posted by fernandk on Nov 4, 2007 Please help me...When i first got my phone I had all 6 icons in the Multimedia Menu (Figure 2) but now I have only got 4. How do i get these other icons back?? Please help me!
