Using the KRZR to record video clips
Chris Leonard
With the camera on the Motorola Krzr K1 you can also record video clips as easily as taking a picture. You can then play these videos back on the handset or save them to the memory card for later viewing, or send them to friends via MMS
Setting up the video camera
To turn on the video recorder:
- From the standby screen press Central Navigation Button, then highlight Media Centre and press Select (Figure 1).
- Select Camera and press Select (Figure 2).
You can also press the Camera button or, if you are already using the screen as a viewfinder, press Options and scroll down to Go To Video Mode (Figure 3).
When you have turned on the video camera, you can open the Video Menu by pressing Options. This offers the following options (Figure 4):
- Go To Videos – Watch saved clips, and do things such as Delete, Rename or Move clips.
- Go To Photo Mode – Switch to stills camera
- Video Camera Setup – Choose to change Video Quality (Good, Better, Best), change the Video Length (Either MMS or Maximum), Resolution (Either 128x96 or 176x144), and whether Sound Recording is on or off.
- Switch Storage Device – Choose to store clips either on the phone or its memory card
Recording a video
Once you have set up the video recorder, you can begin recording a video clip.
- Point the camera lens at the subject of your video.
- Press Capture to begin recording and press Stop when you want to finish (Figure 5).
- You can then Send it or press Options: To choose Store Only or Discard (Figure 6).
N.B. The video records in low-res format meaning that the quality is not as good as for pictures, and it is best not to move the camera very much to avoid picture blurring.

Re: Using the KRZR to record video clipshello~ i have two questions about this phone:
for the first, i wonder where text messages are stored.
after some time i had to switch to storing them on the SD card, but on browsing with p2ktools, i don't know where they're stored.
also, i've been wondering about the silver button on the side-
it has an hour of recording,
and has to be held during recording and beeps now and then when recording a call.
it's something i hear on the other side of the line and not from the phone itself, but it can be heard on both sides and gets recorded.
any way for it not to beep? :X |
