Playing music on the Motorola KRZR K1
Chris Leonard
The Motorola KRZR has two ways to play music one plays sound files on your phone and the other is a separate application for playing music tracks
With the Motorola KRZR’s in-built music player you can play sound files stored under Sounds in the Media Centre. To do this, select the file you want to play and press The Central Navigation Button.
The second method is to use the Digital Audio Music Player application. This is a standalone music player that lets you listen to your favourite MP3 tracks either stored on your handset or on your memory card.
To access the Digital Audio Media Player:
- From the Standby screen, press The Central Navigation Button and highlight Games & Apps. Press Select (Figure 1).
- Select Digital Audio Player (Figure 2).
Organising music
The Music Player menu (Figure 3) lets you organise Playlists (Figure 4) or search your music by Artists, Albums, Songs and Genres, and then listen to them on headphones or connected speakers.
- Select one of these options to access the music catalogued under each of these headings by pressing Play.
- Alternatively choose the song, artist, album or genre you want to listen to and press Play (Figure 5).
- When playing music, pressing Left or Right on the central direction buttons scrolls through the track listing. The Up and Down buttons let you browse the tracks in that playlist.
You can also manage the sound files such as ringtones and music tracks that you have downloaded and stored on the Motorola KRZR:
- From the Menu screen, select Media Centre (Figure 6).
- Scroll to Sounds and press Select (Figure 7).
- Scroll down to the music track or ringtone you want to manage and press Options.
- Then choose to Send (Figure 8) (In Message or Via Bluetooth), Listen Via Bluetooth, Apply As Ringtone, Create New (Figure 9) (Voice Record, Playlist, or Melody), Manage (Figure 10) (Delete, Move, Copy), or Assign To Category (Figure 11).
