Final Fantasy is coming to iPhone

Square Enix has revealed that it’s bringing remakes of classic roleplaying games Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II to iPhone.
The publisher let these tasty details slip on its Facebook page, although there’s no news of a release date as yet. You’re more likely to be familiar with the series’s newer instalments than these original ones – or perhaps the gamer’s favourite Final Fantasy VII – but these late 80s originals are worth revisiting.
Square Enix has already given these two games a modern dusting-off, back in 2004 for the Gameboy Advance compilation Dawn of Souls and again on PSP in 2007, so there’s a good chance we will see those versions’ improvements make their way over to iPhone.
