Avatar iPhone game screenshots

Gameloft has given us a sneak peek at its upcoming iPhone game of the James Cameron action epic Avatar, and it's looking good.

A third-person action adventure, Avatar sees you take on the role of one of the native inhabitants of planet Pandora - basically a big blue guy wielding a huge spear. You'll do this using the now standard control method of manning a virtual analogue stick with your left thumb, leaving the right one to cope with attacking and jumping.

Avatar is a tale of a band of humans that come to the planet Pandora, looking to exploit its resources, only to be met by these native blue creatures. Only time will tell if it'll be as big a hit in the cinema as everyone expects, but it looks like Gameloft's take on the tale is shaping up nicely.
