Digital Goldfish has dropped the price of its Bloons-themed tower defence game to just 59p until the game’s new update is ready.

Two things that have been undeniably popular on iPhone are Bloons and tower defence games. The former was riding high in the App Store Top 10 chart a while back, while tower defence games are always to be found in the Top 100.

Bloons Tower Defense merges the two, leaving you to place towers along a path in order to stop a terrifying procession of - you guessed it - balloons.

Bloons Tower Defense includes 15 different maps, with 50 levels to play through in total. Although already a decent entry to the genre, the upcoming update will add OpenFeint online scoreboards and control improvements.
