Details of the Madden NFL 10 game for the iPhone and iPod Touch have leaked ahead of its release

Screenshots and release info about the upcoming Madden 10 release have popped up online ahead of the big day

The screens showed up on CNET and will no doubt be whipping “football” fans into a frenzy ahead of the looming new season.

Madden 10's feature list includes the ability to draw hot routes for passing plays using touch controls, and to control the speed of play on-the-fly in a mode known as Action Control Time.

The game also allows you to fully manage the rosters, meaning you can pick your dream team from all 32 licensed teams.

If you're just in it for a quick-fix there's a quick play one-off game mode, but for those wanting to get a little deeper into the stats, trading and rewards will be spending a large amount of their time in the full season mode.

The American release is due ,in time for the opening week, of the NFL season and this synchronicity is by no means an accident.

Those of us not in North America will have to wait a month or so longer to get our hands on the game.
