The Sims 3 on sale for £3.99

From the top price of £5.99, EA has brought The Sims 3 down a peg or two to the very agreeable £3.99

EA’s The Sims 3 is one of the few games that hadn’t succumbed to the trend of App Store price drops – until now. Having dropped from the top price of £5.99, you can now snap it up for £3.99.

The iTunes page for the game doesn’t say this price drop is a temporary measure, so this slower downgrading of the price could be part of EA’s new pricing strategy. The game’s been out for over 10 weeks now, which is not a bad length of time to cling onto the top price point in App Store terms.

The Sims 3 offers most features present in the PC version – you can create your own character and make them a success by finding love, money and making your house thoroughly luxurious. Since its release, The Sims 3 has received a lot of praise from gamers and critics alike, and this price drop makes it an even better buy.
