Oldie shooter Wolfenstein 3D Classic has given up its guns and dropped its price to just 59p for the weekend

Id Software’s Wolfesntein 3D Classic for the iPhone has gone on sale for a bargain-friendly 59p.

Wolfenstein 3D Classic is a faithful recreation of the first-person shooter originally released back in 1992. The controls have been tweaked for the iPhone’s touchscreen, but otherwise it remains more or less the same game it always was.

Thankfully, unlike Duke Nukem 3D, another classic shooter we reviewed recently, the controls work well on the device, letting you take out leagues of Nazi enemies with ease. Before the price drop, Wolfenstein 3D Classic was selling for £1.79.

We expect this price drop is a weekend-only deal, which has become an App Store staple, so head on down to the store now if you fancy some old school blasting.
