Worms released for iPhone

The long-awaited turn-based battler Worms has landed on the App Store, courtesy of Team17 Software. It currently sells for £2.99.

It’s designed to being the traditional Worms experience to the iPhone, using the series’ traditional larger-than-life 2D visuals and irreverent approach to violence and wormicide. Of course, it comes packed with a multiplayer mode too, allowing up to four players to face off over Wi-Fi.

Worms features 50 challenges for those looking for single player fun, and there are six different environments to fight over – plus a random terrain generation feature that means you never need to launch a bazooka on the same battlefield twice.
