Grand Theft Auto Coming to iPhone?

A site bearing a game preview video that looks remarkably Grand Theft Auto-esque has popped up on the Internet. It sports the tagline ‘You have no idea what’s coming on iPhone’ though, so we’re not going to just to any conclusions too quickly.

It does have the embers of the fire that keeps our rumour engines ticking over though, so it’s well worth checking out. It shows a bunch of criminals in a built-up city area as they’re chased by police.

Posters on the Pocket Gamer website have stated that the site the video appears on is being run by Gameloft servers. This begs the question of whether it’s in fact a teaser for one of their own-IP games rather than an official GTA iPhone spin-off.

Either way, we can’t wait for the teaser to curdle into something a little more robust. Is it GTA iPhone or a new game based on the style of the Gangstar mobile game? Either way, it’s one to watch out for.
