Origin8 announces iPhone Sentinel sequel

Origin8 has posted a notice on its forum confirming Sentinel 2: Mars Defence for iPhone, a sequel one of our favourite tower defence games

Origin8 is to release Sentinel 2: Mars Defense, the sequel to a game that made it into our Top 10 Tower Defence games list.

Sentinel 2: Mars Defence is set on Earth, and you play as the commander of the dropship Sentinel. You’ll get to take on all kinds of alien scum across a handful of different environments. Although Sentinel 2 promises the same tower defence gameplay as its predecessor, it’ll offer new enemies, towers and drones. One of the original’s strongest assets was its classy visuals, so we expect a similar shiny-looking package in its sequel.

According to the publisher’s website, the game is due for release in June. If you want to sample the original’s charms, you can download Sentinel: Mars Defence from the App Store for £1.19.
