Gameloft has released Hero of Sparta Lite, a freebie version of its acclaimed iPhone action game from last year

Gameloft has released a lite version of its ambitious 3D action adventure Hero of Sparta.

It’s an isometric hack ‘n slash game where you get to play as the eponymous hero, wielding a massive sword, spending most of the time swinging it at enemies. Although it was originally released back in December, a long time ago in App Store terms, Hero of Sparta is still one of the best looking games on the iPhone.

You use your left thumb to move your character around, as if you were using an analogue stick, while jabs of your right thumb are used to attack. The full version of Hero of Sparta has won a host of awards, making this lite version an iPhone must have.
