Townsmen 6 Revolution released on mobile

Glu has released Townsmen 6 Revolution, the latest instalment of one of mobile’s longest-running franchises.

For a strategy series, the Townsmen games have managed to sell a great many copies over the years. The genre is generally looked down upon on mobile, considered just too hardcore for quickie on-the-go gaming sessions. Townsmen has always managed to buck the trend, with casual-friendly gameplay that consistently picks-ups a number of awards each time a new iteration is released.

Townsmen 6 is based around the French Revolution and sees you building up your population and villages as you get ready to square up to the King of France. It’s looking a lot like the previous Townsmen games but, for once, this is actually a compliment. Handy Games has posted a video of the game in action, if you haven’t yet had a first-hand taste of the Townsmen series.
