We’ve been waiting a while for the privilege of playing it, but Need for Speed Undercover from EA has finally been released on the App Store. A high-end premium game, it currently costs £5.99. It has the potential to be the best racer on iPhone so far though, so read on.

It includes 20 cars to drive, all of which are fully licensed. Gameloft’s Ferrari Evolution featured licensed cars, but then they were all Ferraris. Need for Speed includes Lamborghinis, Porsches and even Nissans to grease the joints of any pistonheads out there.

There are 24 missions in total, including more aggressive battle tracks alongside standard races. Your cars are upgradeable too and can be controlled either with the accelerometer or touchscreen controls. We’ll be taking a more in-depth look at Need for Speed Undercover shortly.
