Maverick, Goose and Wolfman reunite for Top Gun on iPhone, which has just landed on the App Store

Freeverse, in association with Paramount, has released Top Gun, the game of the 1986 film starring Tom Cruise, back in the days when he was more famous for his good looks than his association with Scientology.
It’s a 3D aerial shooter where you get to blast away in an F-22 Raptor or B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber across 10 missions. There aren’t that many high-end flying games available on iPhone, if you don’t consider Laminar Research’s arguably all-too realistic X-Plane games that is, so we’re happy to see this one touch down on the App Store.
It’s available for the relative bargain price of £1.19, although this may be a promotional price for the game’s launch only. Top Gun is certainly looking the part, but we’ll be checking out if it’s worth a place on your iPhone’s home screen.
