Play Wolfenstein for free on your iPhone
You can play the first three levels of Wolfenstein for iPhone for free, thanks to ID Software's Wolfenstein lite

ID Software has released a lite version of the classic 3D shooter Wolfenstein, a game that’s received critical acclaim on the platform since it was released a month ago.
Of course, it’s hard to criticise a game that holds happy memories for so many, but it does hold up remarkably well on iPhone. The lite version features the first three levels from the main game.
We can’t help but wonder if the game works so well because of its inherent simplicity. Originally released in 1992, it heralds from before the days of dynamic lighting, bump mapping and even the ability to look around freely.
ID Software is also working on a port of Doom, which stepped a rung or two up on the technology tree from Wolfenstein. With rumours that Quake III might one day appear on the App Store, we’re hoping that they might just go through the whole ID catalogue onwards in chronological order.
What a treat that would be, although we reckon they’d have to stop some way short of Doom 3. Fast as the iPhone may be, it isn’t that fast.
