Worms for iPhone video preview

Team 17 has leaked a gameplay video of the upcoming new Worms game on Youtube. It’s looking far more visually advanced than the last mobile version, with high-resolution graphics that evoke that quintessential Worms sensibility that comes from a particular blend of joviality and destruction.

The weapons select screen that can be seen within the video shows that the game will feature a pretty impressive arsenal of weapons too, including series classics like the bazooka and exploding sheep.

The Worms series has excelled when opened up to multiplayer fun. It may be a bit too much to expect, but a proper online multiplayer mode would make Worms just about the best online multiplayer game on the iPhone. Even if that’s too much to expect, it should at least feature a pass-the-handset multiplayer mode, such as we enjoyed in the previous mobile phone outings.
