Glu announces gaming line-up for early 2009

Games developer Glu Mobile has unveiled its Q1 2009 releases.

All eight games will be available across Java, BREW, Blackberry and Windows Mobile platforms, with more supported devices soon.

Here's a lowdown of what you can expect:

Superman & Batman: Heroes United
Platform action game based on Batman and Superman. The two superheroes join forces to fight evil.

Cooking Star
Ever wanted to become a star chef? This is almost the closest you can come without being a chef. Flip, shake and stir dishes to make a fantabulous feast.

Age of Empires III
If you were hooked on the nGage version of Ages of Empires, look no further than this version across more platforms. This historical strategy game leads you through different worlds on a fight for survival.

Bugs Bunny Rabbit Rescue
As Bugs Bunny, you have to pass certain challenges, such as escape from a UFO's Central Room using only a couple of tools given to you.

Build-a-lot
If you've ever played the SIMs, you'll know exactly what this game is about. Become a property developer to build your empire, mogul-style!

Watchmen: The Mobile Game
Watchmen is about to hit cinemas, so it's no wonder Glu has decided to introduce this game. The comic-based hero adventure is set in 1985 America.

Brain Genius Deluxe
If you've become an expert at the original Brain Training mobile games, try your hand at this new version with updated tests, designed to work with new platforms too.

Monsters vs. Aliens
As another game based on a film, this time the basis is 1950's-inspired Monsters vs. Aliens.

Although UK availability of these games hasn't been announced, we bet they'll be on the virtual shelf before spring.
