Bill Gates' Donkey video game comes to iOS
Bill Gates co-wrote a video game in the 80's called Donkey, and it's now available on the App Store

You can now get a remake of the world's first PC game, DONKEY.BAS, on iPhone and Windows Phone 7.
It might look dated alongside the likes of Infinity Blade and Shadowgun, but make no mistake, DONKEY.BAS was well ahead of its time. Avoiding zombie donkeys not only showed hints of the racing game simulators we know and love today - it reminds us somewhat of Grand Theft Auto (we should get out more).
Okay, so the basic controls and gameplay, which involves switching between two lanes to avoid the roadkill-inclined donkeys, won't keep you going for long but this is a piece of gaming history. And how often do you get to play games created by billionaire entreprenurs?
Bill Gates had help when creating DONKEY.BAS, in the form of Neil Konzen, formerly head of Microsoft's Macintosh projects back in 1984 - the early days for the Big M.
Although it may seems odd for a PC game to be re-released on a competitor's product, the Windows Phone version is free, whereas iOS people need to part with 69p.
